As a pendant to The Neon Lounge, the new choreography Suites of Lux, Nanine Linning's fifth large production for Scapino, betrays more of a quest for calm and serenity. Linning herself describes her choreographies as Minimalist Baroque.
The whole evening is concentrated on the theme of light, for once again Linning has chosen a use of lighting that is unconventional in the theatre.
The Dutch composer Jacob ter Veldhuis' new work for electronic violin will be performed live on stage by top violinist Monica Germino.
Suites of Lux is the first part of a full evening dance production on which Linning is working.
