Joost Vrouenraets

Joost Vrouenraets (1979) is a Dutch dancer and choreographer. After his dance studies at the Amsterdam School of the Arts, he was associated with choreographer Maurice Béjart's famous Béjart Ballet for six years.

He then founded Gotra Ballet with his dance partner Maïté Guérin. He has been traveling through all provinces in the Netherlands for a year with the corona project The red circles. His dance language is expressive, philosophical and rich in images. His work stems from a desire for beauty, rawness and alienation.
