Three cities. Three world premieres. Three dance companies: GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Staatstheater Mainz and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam
3D International is a new, international collaboration between three major dance companies: GöteborgsOperans Danskompani from Sweden, Staatstheater Mainz, tanzmainz from Germany and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam.
A selection of young dancers-choreographers from each company will take up residence with one of the other companies to create a completely new work for the dancers. The result: three world premieres performed by the best dancers from the European dance world.
With this performance, the three companies want to create a new international platform for young choreography talent. 3D started as a national Swedish collaboration and was initiated in the 2017/2018 season by Katrín Hall, Artistic Director of GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.
3D International will premiere in Gothenburg on 2 April 2020 and, via Mainz will be coming to Rotterdam in May.
